Cell Phone Policy
Bathroom policy and Leaving for Student Support
Reminder, no phone use when class is in session, even for bathroom breaks.
Tardy Policy
Place your slip on my desk – no need to speak to me about it since we will have started class.
Jump in seamlessly to whatever the rest of the class is doing, with minimal disruption.
Ask a friend to copy any notes or instructions you missed, after class.
Online materials and assignments
Many readings, lectures and assignments will be found on google classroom, and you will not be given a hard copy unless you ask. If you have limited or no internet access at home, please plan your time so that you complete the assignments at school (during advisory, POD/Study Hall, or before or after school) or you request hard copies of the materials. The bottom line is that you are responsible for your homework, whatever the circumstances.
Academic Honesty
Original thoughts, ideas, and work must be displayed on all assignments. Any ideas attributed to others must be given the appropriate credits. Even during collaborative assignments, copying will not be tolerated. Copying is cheating! Original work is more highly valued than perfect answers.
Late Work and Make-up Work
Cheryl - Excused absences: Conference with teacher as soon as possible to get make up work (also check google classroom). Negotiate due date. Some assignments will be accepted for reduced points for a few days after the assignment is due. Other assignments can not be made up if they are late. Turn your work in on time!

Resubmissions Policy
If you are unhappy with the grade you receive the first time you turn in an assignment, you may revise it and resubmit it to your teacher according to the following expectations:
- Please keep your cell phone turned off and stowed away during classes.
- If you have your cell phone out, I will take your phone and give it to your advisor.
- The next time you have your phone out, I will give your phone to the front office and you can pick it up at the end of the day.
- The third time you have your phone out, I will give your phone to the front office and your parent or guardian has to pick it up!

Reminder, no phone use when class is in session, even for bathroom breaks.
- There is a 4 minute pass on the door - you do not need to ask to use the bathroom, just take the pass and go.
- If the pass is not there, wait until it comes back!
- You can use the pass to fill up your water bottle as well.
- Please limit your use of the bathroom pass to once per class or less in general!
- If you need to go to student support, please fill out the pass and bring it to the teacher to sign it and send you.

If you are unhappy with the grade you receive the first time you turn in an assignment, you may revise it and resubmit it to your teacher according to the following expectations:
- In order to revise and resubmit an assignment, it must have been turned in complete and on-time in the first place, unless other arrangements are made with your teacher in advance.
- Some assignments and all tests are not resubmittable. Your teacher will let you know which assignments those are.
